Get ready, cycling fans! The American Criterium Cup is back for 2026, promising a thrilling season of high-speed races across the U.S. This series, known for its intense, fast-paced action, will feature six one-day races, kicking off with the iconic Saint Francis Tulsa Tough on June 6, 2026.
What's at stake? A hefty prize purse of $140,000 is up for grabs, split evenly between the pro women and pro men, with $16,000 awarded at each event and an additional $44,000 for the series overall.
Following the adrenaline-fueled start in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the competition heads to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 27, as part of the Tour of America's Dairyland. July brings the racers to Boise, Idaho, for the Bailey & Glasser LLP Boise Twilight Criterium on the 11th, and then to Chicago, Illinois, for the Chicago GRIT on July 26. The Utah Crits in Salt Lake City shifts from June to mid-August, setting the stage for the grand finale on September 6 in St. Louis, Missouri, at the Bommarito Automotive Group Gateway Cup, traditionally the Giro della Montagna.
But here's where it gets interesting: the return of the American Criterium Cup showcases the enduring appeal of this exciting format.
In the previous season, Rylee McMullen of Virginia’s Blue Ridge TWENTY28 claimed the green jersey as sprint champion, while her team celebrated a victory in the women's team classification. Kendall Ryan of L39ION of Los Angeles showcased her dominance with three wins in three starts, ultimately finishing fourth overall.
