OVERTIME

Lap 165 — NASCAR throws the caution just as Kyle Larson takes the white flag. Larson wins the Brickyard 400!

Lap 164 — Larson and Blaney take the green flag on the restart. Larson takes the lead as Ryan Preece crashes out of Turn 2. He has a flat right rear tire, but no caution comes out.

Lap 162 —The race is red-flagged to clean up the debris from the wreck in Turn 1.

Lap 161 — Brad Keselowski runs out of fuel just before the restart. Keselowski comes down pit road just as the cars are about to take the green flag. Larson and Blaney take the green flag, but there's a massive pileup behind the leaders.

Lap 160 —Brad Keselowski chooses the inside lane for the restart while Blaney takes the outside at the choose cone. Kyle Larson will restart third on the bottom.

FINAL STAGE

Lap 158 —Denny Hamlin and Zane Smith make pit stops as both teams' crew chiefs did not believe they could make it to the end on fuel.

Lap 157 —CAUTION! Kyle Busch has crashed in Turn 3 while running 6th. Busch appeared to make contact with Denny Hamlin while attempting a pass and then spun and hit the outside wall. This will set up an overtime finish. Keselowski's fuel is still questionable.

Lap 156 —Larson tries to pass Blaney into Turn 3, but Blaney throws the block.

Lap 155 — Just 5 laps remain in the Brickyard 400 and the three leaders have not changed. Keselowski is dangerously close on fuel, but continues to set the pace. Larson has more fuel than both Keselowski and Blaney.

Lap 153 — With just 7 laps left, Keselowski continues to lead, but he should be very close on fuel. Blaney and Larson round out the top-3.

Lap 152 — Hemric pulls off to make a pit stop. Larson now has Blaney and Keselowski in his sights.

Lap 150 —Brad Keselowski weaves down the backstretch to try and break the draft to Ryan Blaney. Blaney is continuing to inch closer to Keselowski, but the two are still trying to conserve fuel. Kyle Larson is having a hard time passing Daniel Hemric for third.

Lap 148 — Larson passes Zane Smith. Ryan Blaney has been given the OK to attack Brad Keselowski for the lead.

Lap 147 — Larson gets by Hamlin to move into the fifth position. He then drafts up to the No. 31 of Hemric to try and move into the top-4.

Lap 145 — The top-4, Keselwoski, Blaney, Smith and Hemric, are playing the strategy game. Larson and Hamlin are racing for the lead in the event the top-4 must pit.

Lap 144 —The leaders are running a slower pace, keeping the field bunched up. Kyle Larson is making aggressive moves to try and pick his way through the field. Denny Hamlin is now on the defensive to prevent Larson from passing him.

Lap 142 —Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch are having a heated battle for the 7th position.

Lap 138 — The top-10 is under a blanket as the laps tick down. Keselowski continues to lead Blaney, Zane Smith and Daniel Hemric.

Lap 131 —As Keselowski continues to lead, he might be very close on fuel. With less than 30 laps to go, Keselowski will need a few caution laps to go to the end.

Lap 128 — Brad Keselowski leads Ryan Blaney and Zane Smith to the restart. Daniel Hemric and Zane Smith battle for the third position, but Keselowski starts to pull away.

Lap 125 — Ty Gibbs brings his sickly-sounding car down pit road. His pit crew opens the hood to make repairs, but Gibbs is sent on his way in order to avoid losing a lap.

Lap 124 — The caution flag flies while Chase Elliott and Tyler Reddick are on pit road. Both drivers complete their stops. Martin Truex Jr. is the reason for the caution flag after spinning in Turn 3.

Lap 123 — Kyle Larson makes his final stop of the day, relinquishing the lead to Chase Elliott, who pits the very next lap.

Lap 122 —Ross Chastain pits from the lead for tires, fuel and some adjustments. Kyle Larson inherits the lead.

Lap 120 — John Hunter Nemechek and Alex Bowman make their last scheduled pit stops of the day.

Lap 118 —Ross Chastain continues to lead, but John Hunter Nemechek has closed the gap significantly. Chastain's lead is roughly two car lengths.

Lap 114 — Ross Chastain leads the field to the restart. This restart is notably cleaner than the last two.

Lap 111 —Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe lead the field down pit road for pit stops with 49 laps to go.

Lap 108 —Denny Hamlin leads the field to Turn 1, but there's a big crash before Hamlin can even exit Turn 2. Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson have crashed. On the replay, it appears as though Carson Hocevar tried to make it three-wide before being pinched by Ryan Blaney. Blaney got sideways and kept going, but he collected teammate Logano, who collected Jimmie Johnson. Logano climbs out, but Johnson tries to drive his car back to pit road.

Lap 105 — The final stage is underway! It's a clean restart until Turn 3. Martin Truex Jr, in what is expected to be his final Brickyard 400, makes contact with Kyle Larson in the exit of Turn 3 and hits the wall. Truex collects Josh Berry, who noses his car into the outside wall.

Lap 80 —Kyle Larson makes a daring move on Austin Dillon down the backstretch in a battle for 26th.

Lap 75 — Kyle Busch pits from the lead under the caution flag. Bubba Wallace inherits the lead.

Lap 73 — Kyle Busch and Bubba Wallace soar off into turn 1 on the restart, but there's a big crash coming out of Turn 2. William Byron makes hard contact with the inside wall and collects A.J. Allmendinger.

Lap 71 — Kyle Larson makes an extra stop during the caution to double check that all the lug nuts were tight.

Lap 69 — Most of the field elects to come down pit road, but Kyle Busch stays out for track position.

Lap 68 — The first non-stage-related caution flag flies. Cody Ware's left rear tire explodes and the carcass comes to rest in the infield grass. Shredded rubber debris will need to be cleaned up.

Lap 62 —John Hunter Nemechek has pulled out to a two second lead over Tyler Reddick.

Lap 61 — Kyle Busch and Corey LaJoie run third and fourth, respectively. The two have not been on friendly terms this week after LaJoie and Busch tangled last weekend at Pocono.

Lap 56 —John Hunter Nemechek uses pit strategy to take the lead away from Tyler Reddick. Cars race side-by-side all over the track for the first two laps after the restart.

Lap 54 — Stage 2 of the Brickyard 400 is underway. Tyler Reddick and Michael McDowell lead the field to the restart.

START/STAGE 1

Lap 50 —Denny Hamlin wins stage 1 followed by Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Tyler Reddick, Michael McDowell, Alex Bowman, Ty Gibbs, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Noah Gragson.

Lap 48 —Chris Buscher's engine lets go, but he's able to get off the racing line and into the pits. No caution is necessary.

Lap 41 —Brad Keselowski is given the same blend-line penalty as Chase Elliott. Keselowski is livid on the radio and refuses to come in to serve the penalty. NASCAR threatens to stop scoring him if he doesn't serve the penalty. He serves the penalty on lap 47.

Lap 40 — Brad Keselowski is the last car to pit in the cycle. He managed to make his No. 6 Ford go a full fuel stint. Denny Hamlin now cycles through to the lead followed by Kyle Larson in second.

Lap 39 — Three drivers have yet to pit, Christopher Bell, Corey LaJoie and Brad Keselowski. Bell and LaJoie pit, leaving Brad Keselowski as the leader and the only driver yet to make a pit stop.

Lap 38 — Michael McDowell comes down pit road for his first stop after inheriting the lead from Tyler Reddick. Joey Logano also makes his first stop, but locks up his brakes on pit entry.

Lap 37 — Leader Tyler Reddick comes down pit road for his first pit stop of the day. Reddick makes his stop right at the end of the fuel window.

Lap 36 —Third place runner Ty Gibbs comes down pit road for his first stop of the afternoon. He has a bit of a slow stop to wait on fuel, but got down and away with no issues.

Lap 35 —Noah Gragson makes his first pit stop of the day.

Lap 31 — Josh Berry and Austin Dillon come down pit road for their first pit stops of the day. Tyler Reddick holds a 1.4 second lead over Michael McDowell. Ty Gibbs runs in third.

Lap 28 — Ryan Blaney, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Chris Buescher all make their first stops of the day. Reddick continues to lead. Chase Elliott is penalized for a pit exit violation. A replay showed Elliott crossed the blend line too early in the north chute.

Lap 25 — Hamlin's pit stop has triggered the Hendrick teammates of Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson and William Byron to come down pit road for their first pit stops of the day.

Lap 24 — Denny Hamlin comes down pit road for his first pit stop of the day. He relinquishes the third position.

Lap 21 —After a cloudy start, the sun is beginning to peek out from behind the clouds. This could make the track slicker as the race goes on.

Lap 18 — A.J. Allmendinger comes down pit road for four tires, fuel and adjustments to help his ill-handling race car.

Lap 17 — Josh Berry has made big moves so far. After starting 37th out of 39 cars, Berry has moved up to the 26th position.

Lap 10 — Tyler Reddick continues to lead the Brickyard 400. Chase Elliott has overtaken Denny Hamlin to take over the second position.

Lap 6 — After starting 33rd, four-time Brickyard winner Jimmie Johnson has moved up to the 26th position.

Lap 5 — After having to start at the rear of the field, Martin Truex Jr. finds himself nearly a full-lap down just five laps into the race. Timing and scoring shows MTJ 40 seconds behind the leader.

Lap 3 —Cars have strung out mostly single-file. Tyler Reddick continues to lead, but it's a narrow margin over Denny Hamlin. There are still side-by-side battles throughout the field.

Lap 1 — The Brickyard 400 is green! Tyler Reddick and Denny Hamlin battle side-by-side through the first two turns, but Reddick comes out the leader and will lead the first lap.
