The Future Film Coalition (FFC) has just taken a significant step by naming Jax Deluca as its Interim Executive Director. This appointment comes at a crucial time as the FFC prepares for a nationwide membership launch and aims to strengthen its network, strategic planning, and advocacy efforts to secure vital resources and policy protections for independent filmmakers.

Jax Deluca brings a wealth of experience to this role. At the National Endowment for the Arts, she managed over $50 million in public arts funding through federal grant programs and launched national initiatives such as the Independent Film & Media Arts Group. Her leadership extended beyond funding; she was also the executive director of the Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Arts Center, nurturing independent media artists. Currently, she contributes as a Documentary Film in the Public Interest Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center, focusing on the intersections of media, politics, and public policy.
